West 24 Cottages

I love my neighbors and my community here at West24. While the rent is a high for my liking, I'm quite happy living here with my daughter. The proximity to Meijer, parks, and neighboring communities that I enjoy walking or riding my bike around in, all work towards making my stay here peaceful. My backyard faces West. I've attached a couple pictures that I've taken from my patio. I love my view.

We absolutely love living here!! We moved in right before summer started and have been taking full advantage of being outside grilling on our back patio if not drinking a cup of coffee and reading a good book on our front porch. The location is perfect - very scenic and peaceful with the farmland nearby while also still being close to the highway, grocery stores, restaurants etc. Maintenance requests are always taken care of in a timely fashion and Lindsey, the property manager, has always been so helpful and friendly! We’re so happy we found this community - it’s truly a hidden gem!

Things you should know if you plan to rent here: you don’t get what you pay for. Rent is more than a lot of mortgages, yet housing is cheaply made. In our first two months of living here, all of our toilet paper metal holders, shower curtain rod holders, and towel holders had mostly fallen out of the wall. Baseboard trim began to come off overtime, doors stopped locking, closets stopped fully shutting unless you forced your body weight entirely against it, laundry stopped working countless times, garage door stopped working and they “fixed it” but they didn’t so we haven’t been able to use our garage, and our front door locking mechanism broke three times. Mother in law lives here and is VERY nice place for Her. Getting to know the neighbors and Very close to Shopping and restaurants.

We have loved our experience renting with West 24 Cottages! Emily was always very responsive and kind. Maintenance was always quick to come out when needed. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. The units are very spacious with great storage. I would say the only downside is the monthly rent, since it is quite high. But, it was the best rental experience (unit and management company) we’ve had!
