Wallis and Baker Apartments and Brownstones

I’ve lived at Wallis and Baker for the past four years, and I can honestly say it’s been such a great experience from start to finish. The customer service here truly sets this community apart. Lindsey and Stephen are the best! The leasing team is always welcoming, professional and quick to help with anything I need, whether it’s a simple question or something more detailed. Maintenance requests are handled promptly, and the communication is always clear and respectful. I’ve never felt like “just another resident” here. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained and it still feels just as special as it did when I first moved in. So an update as of 12/30/25. The trash has piled up so bad that people are now leaving their garbage outside the door. This is an enclosed complex and now the entire 2nd floor of the Wallis Building smells of garbage. The response I got was that all the chutes are serviced daily and it’s the holidays. This is unsanitary and nothing is being done. This complex is becoming disgusting. Here is an example of the trash chute on the 2nd floor. No one has emptied the trash in over 2 days, causing the hallways to stink. The trash is stacked so high that you cannot see the actual chute. This is also bringing roaches/rats. Totally unacceptable.

I had a great experience touring the community and wanted to recognize both leasing agents who assisted me. Tajai was incredibly kind, soft-spoken, and professional—very attentive, patient, and thorough in answering my questions, which made the process feel comfortable and pressure-free. And Lindsey brought such a vibrant, positive energy to the tour—happy, engaging, and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. Together, they struck a great balance of professionalism and personality, and it left a very positive impression of both the community and the management team. I truly appreciated their time and approach.

The leasing agent, Alecia, was absolutely wonderful. She spent time showing me everything the property offers and didn't rush or pressure me in any way. She was well informed and very kind. The property is gorgeous!

I want to update my review because fair is fair and I have change my negative rating, because of the work and improvements in everything from communication, to assistance, to feel once again safe where I currently live. I am grateful to the Wallis and Baker employees and their efforts. I understand not everything is perfect in life, but efforts, reach positive results and diminish any problems or imperfections.
