Walk2Campus Farmville

I live in the campus walk, and let me say this has been one of the best living experiences I have had. When I was looking for housing here at Longwood, I was a little skeptical with where I wanted to live based on my past living experiences in the city. I am used to small roads, close stores, and seeing many, many people daily. Living on campus my freshman year took me away from most of it because it was the same people over and over again and I love to see diversity. When I toured my apartment, the management was so welcoming and made sure all my questions were answered. from questions about near by stores to me being surprised that they have a option to wait for your financial aid to deposit to pay your rent. Lack of transparency with charges being posted. I called the Farmville office 1/27/25 for greater detail on the 2 dominion energy charges to my account, which total $667.15. These charges are more than my own electric bill for my entire house which has more square footage. The girl was very nice and expressed concern, and took my name and contact information, however today is 2/11/25 and I've heard nothing back. Apparently the manager gets the electric bill and posts charges to the different account owners. But I did get an email today letting me know that the water/sewer charge posted to my account, so they didn't forget that! The new portal they're using is clear as mud. Walk2Campus, and specifically CampusWalk, is a great company to work with for housing for Longwood University! My roommates and I live in an apartment at CampusWalk, and it’s a beautiful space- very updated appliances, nice enough furniture, and plenty of space. Maintenance is very quick with requests, and they’re very nice folks. We do have issues on occasion with the A/C, but maintenance handles it quickly. The folks at the Walk2Campus are AWESOME- Kacy and Terrika NEVER fail to help out with issues and provide a really nice breakfast spread about once a month. They’re also very sweet, as are the other office workers I haven’t talked with as much. Free McDonald’s and Chick-fil-a is always nice. Within my first few weeks of living here I’ve probably seen more cockroaches than I have in my life prior to living here. The houses are not move-in condition. They don’t clean up whatever belongings or mess was left behind from previous residents. They hit you with fine after fine to live in a dirty house they probably pay no mind to. My shower drain and sink was clogged before I even moved in and I had to pester them to finally fix it. My unit also has no wi-fi box. Very over priced for what it’s worth.

They are polite, attentive, and always glad to be of assistance. Any minor issues, they always answer the phone and help you. Plus, they are pretty transparent about any rules and expectations, and, they have been nothing short of fabulous to rent from since I had moved there in 2023.
