I recently hired Ed to perform an inspection on a house I am considering selling. I had used him in the past for a mold inspection at another house. I find him to be extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. He is respectful, patient with all my questions and listens to my input. He includes me in the process so I can learn, without being condescending. You can tell he loves his job. My sister recommended Ed to us because she used him when she purchased her house. I called and he scheduled us quickly. Ed came out on a holiday weekend on a Sunday that was 100 degrees with no ac in the home to a house we were hoping to purchase and was very thorough, he spent almost four hours with us going through everything and he was so Knowledgeable and personable. He taught us a lot as first time home buyers. He offers a variety of different test with the inspection which made it easy for us to have him just do everything we needed. I have always highly recommended Ed Wagner to people as being the best in the business; however, I do so no longer due to his failure to provide his service to me and due to his lack of knowledge. Twice he has refused to test my home after I had informed him that I must have the mold report to bring a lawsuit, his NOT being required by law to be present in court. Twice he insisted that I contact DPH and my attorney although, as I twice told him, he SHOULD know that no one other than a mold company is able to state that it is toxic mold but a moldy-looking substance! This is the law! I informed him that I shall sue him as well and that he does not deserve to have his license. I am a former health-care professional and am a businesswoman, knowing this.
