Voke Lofts

I have lived at the Voke for approximately 4 years at two different units. I have also visited several other units in the building. Overall my experience has been positive and I recommend it. Staff is very friendly and living experience is adequate. However, there are some downsides that prospective residents should be aware: 1. Parking is highly regulated. Each car costs an additional monthly fee on top of rent and there is no parking for visitors. 2. The shower water pressure is woefully inadequate. There are several low flow (gallon per second) showers in the market that feel better than the one that was chosen. However, likely at a higher cost for the builder. 3. Since my first experience with David (another handsome bald guy) he has been amazing and very responsive in timely manner, direct and to the point as he is busy! Being the owner of my now 3rd painting & property Maintenance Service Company that will be another great success, I would hire him in minutes as he also takes the time to explain in details with everything in the unit and how to get the max of of thermostat as well his direction to knowing that an answer that’s best handled by the front office for a documented concern or just in general! Lovely large windows. Nice view of Memorial Auditorium and the old Boys Club from our window. Upgraded moldings, wood laminate flooring, large closets, higher end appliances. Friendly community, attentive maintenance, key fob entry, and nice lounge for entertaining. They did a great job converting the old Voke High School. The courtyard has a lovely lush lawn for using, not just looking. Walking distance to restaurants, Worcester Common, DCU Center, Mechanics Hall, Hanover Theater, even Shrewsbury Street! A couple of grocery stores only 1.25 miles away. Being near Lincoln Square, there are ambulances, police and fire trucks going by. If you don't like the sounds of the city, you might need to keep your windows closed and use your built in air conditioner.

The maintenance function at Voke Lofts is at the concierge level: capable, consistent and complete‼️

We’ve called Voke Lofts home for 4 years, and we love it! We will sadly be leaving soon because we are moving out of state, but we recommend it to anyone who wants to live in central Worcester. Location can’t be beat- short walks to parks, restaurants, museums and historic concert halls. Spacious apartments with lots of historic character. Definitely more bang for buck compared to other new construction in the area. And the management office is super responsive and nice. Any request or concern is quickly addressed. All in all a wonderful place to call home!
