I had come in to open a new checking and savings account. I had opened them both, learned about mobile banking, and received great help and insights from lauren and Madelyn. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Quick too! 10 out of 10 ⭐️

I opened a checking and savings account a few weeks ago and am very satisfied with the account. One thing I wish it had was refundable ATM fees. That's the only thing Bank of America had when I had an account with them that Truist does not. That and a better credit tracker thing. But Truist accounts are interest bearing, they don't charge a monthly fee for the account, Truist offers fee-free overdraft, as well as a much simpler bill pay feature in the app. Other than the lack of refundable ATM fees and the ability to get your credit report anytime you want, I love this account. I forgot to mention the Delta SkyMiles debit card To build travel rewards with. I don't take advantage of this card as I am loyal to United Airlines, but it's still a great offer! Con artists. My dad (88 years old) has a half million in their bank and they try to rip him off every chance they get. The latest was his CD's. They sent a letter saying his CD's were due to be renewed and if he did nothing, they would auto renew with the same policy. So unless he wanted to make changes, they would just auto renew. What they didn't say was when they "auto renew", the interest rate goes from 4% to .05%, yes nothing. So the banks then keeps the other 3.95% for themselves for the next 6 months. They later said if he would have called them on the phone instead of doing auto renew, he would have kept his 4% interest, but of course inferred just the opposite until it was too late and already auto renewed. This review has been a long time coming, and I must take responsibility for remaining with this bank despite encountering several significant issues. While switching banks and updating automatic payments can be cumbersome, I admit that my loyalty may have outweighed my better judgment. Unfortunately, today's incident serves as yet another example of their shortcomings. Over the years, I've experienced multiple frustrations with this bank. They've erroneously charged me a $12 convenience fee on numerous occasions, inconvenienced me during a trip to Disney World by incorrectly flagging my card as stolen, resulting in a 24-hour freeze on my funds, and failed to prevent unauthorized automatic withdrawals from my account despite my alerting them to potential scams.
