This company is incredibly difficult to deal with. Called many times about issues and was never able speak to a manager. Raised rent twice in the *one* year I lived at their property. When asked why, they said "that's the market rate". However if you look at other properties of the same level and location, they are consistently the highest priced in the area. Charged me a pet deposit and pet rent ($50/month) and then still charged me for pet hair in the carpet when I moved out. Don't rent from them, but if you do, clean your unit from top to bottom when you leave and don't leave anything behind.

My partner and I recently started renting from this company and have received the best “customer service” compared to any Grand Rapids property management company we’ve had. The rent is more than reasonable, maintenance is prompt, and correspondence has been easy. Would absolutely recommend renting from this company!!

This company is SUPER frustrating to deal with. Their employees meet concerns and frustrations with pettiness and a potent lack of professionalism. Twice during my lease I have had issues with my account being accurate. 1st time they credited someone else's payment to my account, and the 2nd time my rent was returned to my bank account. When I called to express concern, they did not handle the call professionally, and for paying close to $1000 for my 400 sq ft apartment, I expect a level of courtesy when dealing with management. Outside of the employee's demeanor, the property itself (Half Century Apartments - GR, MI) is sub-par for the price. Be aware of this property management company because they will take your security deposit by any means. Know your rights. Fill out your new tenant checklist with them present and walk through the unit with them when you leave. They need to tell you on the spot in writing if you owe damages. If you don't have the time to do this, I do not recommend leasing any units from them. They will make stuff up to keep your deposit. They did it to me.

I've waited a month for my overpayment on rent from two months ago to be returned and it's now close to another month waiting for my deposit to be returned. I've made my complaint to MShDA but I may need to take Peter and Trillium to small claims court.
