Trails Homeowners Association

Very unprofessional experience! Have a neighbor that are burning a lot of incense that has caused nothing but health issues for me! The smell is coming right through the walls! HOA does not care, they do absolutely nothing!!! They state that they can do what they want in their own home! Wrong!!! They are breaking the law when it is being smelled by other home owners. It's a law called Nuisance! If they are causing you not to enjoy being in your house because of the smell of the incense smoke that is causing health issues for me, then they are breaking the law! I can file a civil suit against all parties involved! I should not be forced to live like this!!! This has been going on for the last 3 months, and my cough has gotten a lot worse. We've lived here for years, and we fall more and more in love with it every year. The interconnecting trails that they have running throughout the village, really gives it an almost Legend of Zelda like home feeling. It's magical and hard to explain. The folks that live here hardly ever move out, and when someone does move, their house is sold quickly. It's the nicest neighborhood in Roselle in my opinion. they also have a club house and pool, Tennis basketball volleyball but the best is the trails. and also walking distance to Frederick Nerge Elementary, perfect if you have children. Excellent School District 54 and 211.

I've lived in the trails for 15 years. The Trails is a great place to raise a family. The school district is excellent. The thing the trails have to offer are great pool, work out facility, game room and also a party room. The current board is working hard to make this even a better pla e to live.

Have lived at The Trails in Roselle for 3 years now. Great neighborhood to live in close to major highways and near great schools. I have 3 little kids and they love the area and the open trails and parks that are available. The associate has guidelines that you follow before making changes but it is not different then other associates that I've seen.

I have lived here since 1991 and have owned two properties. A town-home and a single family house. The one thing to consider before looking into The Trails is the poor management of how things are ran and done here. I have several issues, but the main issue being I have a neighbor that is in foreclosure, who also is employed by the The Trails. The fence was left in ruins for over 1 year past the deadline to fix a shared fence. I went through all the proper channels to get the fence fixed and even paid the contractor with the best price and experience. A year later, the fence is done, incorrectly per The Trails By-Laws, and The Management send me a bill for double what it would've cost me when I originally submitted my paperwork.
