Towne Center Apartments

I own a Corporate Housing Company, TurnkeyRELO (aka, MotorCityRELO). We have had two apartments at this property since they first opened after construction. We know the apartment market and we were immediately attracted to this property due to it's location (right by the GM Tech Center and the Warren Municipal complex) and other features. There just isn't any other newer in that area and the option for an attached garage is another feature that is unique to Towne Center Apartments. The only challenge we ever have in getting our furnished apartments there rented is some people's perception of Warren. I love living here. It’s quiet and calm most of the time. The townhouses are well maintained and maintenance (Angelo Castiglione) is always available for service calls. Planet Fitness, restaurants, retail stores are all within walking distance. I will be here until I’m ready to buy a house.

The finish work on the interior of the apartment was very poorly done. Dents in the walls, floor molding is bowed, bathroom above light was plastered over but never sanded and repainted, big pink blotch in one of my closets, appliances are cheap, etc. And when I filled out the apartment inspection sheet and turned it in, they never came to fix the issues. The walls are not well insulated so you can hear everything from neighboring apartments. Also, they take no action against noise complaints. And the management staff is non-responsive to calls and emails. They don’t check their voicemails either because their vm mailbox is full so you can’t even leave a message! Great community to live in! Property managers and maintenance are very responsive and help tremendously if you need anything. Great location with all the stores near by and close to the highway.

Short version: They pulled out of me moving in 2 days before my move in date, after the deposit was made, and after calling them 3 days before and them assuring me everything was good to go for the move in. Long version: These guys are so unbelievably dishonest and disorganized. Their units look wonderful and very appealing, so it can be very enticing to apply, especially if you’re someone looking for a place with a garage, like I was. However, everything else is just terrible. Trying to call them is horrible. They never answer. I remember this being the first red flag and that should have been enough.
