"If you value your legal rights, stay far away from Town Centre and Weidner Investment Services. I am currently in litigation with them because they appear to prioritize predatory fees over Minnesota Law. Here is what they don't want you to know: 46% Retaliatory Rent Hike: After I challenged billing errors, they attempted to jack my rent from $1,585 to $2,625—a 46.6% increase—solely because I refused to sign a legally defective lease. Illegal Late Fees: They are charging late fees at 8.17%, which flagrantly violates the 8% legal cap under MN Stat. § 504B.177. Check your ledgers. Retaliatory Eviction: The moment I exercised my right to a Rent Escrow to hold them accountable, they filed a retaliatory eviction on the EXACT SAME DAY (February 27th). This is a textbook violation of MN Stat.

Pot is smoked indoors routinely, staff is unable to do anything about it despite rules about smoking indoors. Physical evidence is needed so if you smoke, this isn't a bad place to be. If you want to move here, I strongly encourage you to ask about which units smoke weed before signing anything. You will be stuck with it and there will not be any solution beyond moving. Cameras are claimed to be stationed around the buildings but they do not have angles to account for vehicle vandalism.

Sent notice to raise rent by more than 250 after 1st year.. (from 2166 to 2450!) Felt like I got tricked into moving here. it looks pretty nice on the outside. halls and stairwells always dirty. Pools consistently are unavailable for use. A weird drunk man that lived there (that was not swimming) went into the pool and choked my son. Management did nothing and said the camera in the pool is blocked by a pole. 🙄 There was a dog that was consistently aggressive and trying to bite me and my children. Management responded with The dog was friendly to them. Also, community room is only available if rented. Very disappointed with Property and the management. I would absolutely not recommend this property.

Please do not move here if you are looking for a safe environment. As a dv survivor, management (not Tim) did not care concerning my safety. On the evening that we moved into our unit, I had a man walk into my apartment and proceeded to interrogate me concerning what I was doing. Management stated that this was not a safety concern. The next month we had downstairs neighbors who did not want our dog on the patio. This neighbor proceeded to complain everyday until we were ultimately bullied into signing a settlement agreement. Please see the photos of actual dog droppings coming though a patio, and our patio that was covered top and bottom with a tarp. No investigation, just eviction. We moved into TC in January 2013. We have seen many management changes over the years. The team they have now is the reason I signed another lease. Let me tell you what they do for their residents: they are so pet friendly, my dog adores the entire staff, and treats. They care, I fell and got hurt horribly last winter and they always checked up on me. We went to SC and they helped my son take care of my dog, I was worried about leaving her but a totally cute picture sent to me showed Ruby sitting in Aaron's lap, both intent on the screen! I can honestly say that this team, including maintenance, has finally made this feel like home, not just a place to rent. Last but not least, I love my apartment!!!
