Ticor Title

I've used Curry County Title since 2005 and have done more than 6 transactions with them. In each case they were professional, helpful and easy to work with. I'm sure others feel the same or the company would not still be in business. I don't know the reasons behind the bad reviews, but in my experience, I think they are the best around.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Do not use this company! I just dealt with them on a very simple customer service request for information that is public record - I was told to email an email address for a document request and they would get it back to me, "when they could". I called to follow up 2 days later and they told me, that it "wasn't a priority", that my request goes to the "bottom of the stack" and I absolutely got the impression that they were NEVER going to send me the information. I asked for the manager and he told me that he was the President of the Company. He was so rude, it was unbelievable. I can't imagine working with them on an actual transaction. I called their competitor and he looked the information up for me while we were on the phone. It took less than 2 minu

Absolutely the worse experience I have endured in the 2 decades of Real Estate. From the disrespectful staff and snippy behavior to the most unprofessional title officer I have ever dealt with. Trying to comply with their requirements in my opinion was borderline abuse to my elderly parents and unnecessary documentation requirements. The stress they caused on all of us was uncalled for. The Title Company that we use in California stated that they were asking for too much. Including crossing the privacy act law line and requesting health information. As the only Title Company in the County we had no choice. After speaking with other Realtors in the area I found out this is a typical behavior for Curry County Title Inc. I wish I could give a negative star. I've never dealt with a company so rude, hostile, unhelpful, inept and irrational. The owner is the main reason for this. He is over reactive to an situation creating mountains out of mole hills. He's unwilling to even be reasoned with and takes an angry hostile tone when you try to talk to him. He has insulted the other professinals I'm working with in this transaction, good people trying to do thier job to the best of thier ability. When I moved to Brookings I was told this was the only title company in town. I decided it was worth the risk for the convenience. I was very wrong. I can't emphasise enough... USE SOMEONE ELSE. Lastly, the five star rating I see on this google rating is from an employee. I met her.

Customer service a BIG 0 Tried to ask them about old note records and what I got was that I was wasting there time. May want to have a little patience with people who call you asking a guestion. I felt like I was being a bother and that they did't care or give a Sh--. Have a NICE DAY !
