The Vanguard at the Shipyard Apartments

We recently moved into the Shipyard and had Kathy as our move-in consultant. She was absolutely wonderful—welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home from day one. Any issues we encountered were handled promptly and with care, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Tony is one of the best maintenance workers we’ve had! He’s communicative, timely and efficient. He has a strong work ethic and follows through on what he says he’ll do. And most importantly, he’s incredibly kind!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tiffany for the last few years as a Shipyard resident. She prioritizes her tenants, is always accommodating and responsive and makes an extra effort to problem solve in a timely manner regardless of the issue at hand. It is rare to find someone as caring as Tiffany at a larger management company but she is truly the best! Thanks for all that you do Tiffany - your helpful attitude and attentiveness does not go unnoticed and your tenants are truly lucky to have you!

Everyone is great. Tiffany in the office is fantastic and on top of everything! She is the best! GiaComo is also fantastic! He has gone above and beyond and always with a smile. He pays attention to detail and is really great at his job. The communication between the office and the staff is excellent. The whole staff is great!

Shipyard resident for 5 years. Started off great then as soon as Ironstate took over as management each year has gotten worse and worse. Poor management of the pool, constant amenity fee increases, completely ruined the Berkshire lobby, and crazy policies, especially in the last year, that push more restrictions without any security or benefit for the tenant. You will not get your security deposit back - I was charged $400 for a carpet stain when they rip up and replace the carpet anyway in between each move. The units are nice and maintenance staff is great, but this management company is the worst I’ve ever had to deal with and they will scam you. Beware and do your research, recommend joining the Facebook group to see all the complaints and issues before signing a lease here
