The Southern Apartment Complex

Do not rent from this apartment complex. 2 years after I moved out Elite Property Management withdrew $5,725.00 from my bank account and refuse any responsibility of returning it.

The front office manager Allison, as well as the maintenance guy Derrick (I think) are awesome! Allison even went out of her way to get protein snacks for the front so when im done at the gym I can snag something real quick! Would be awesome to have like a bow flex type machine in the gym for back/lat workouts. Id give it 5 stars if I had more internet options as im forced to use in-house internet.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and really enjoyed it until recently. Elite Property management lied to me about price increases after I explicitly asked them. They didn’t inform me of any major price increases until 1 week before my lease was up. Obviously I had to resign due to lack of time to find a new place. Then when I tried to break the lease, they informed me of a lease breaking fee that is not included anywhere on the lease. Now I’m stuck in a 12 month lease that I feel I was bullied into. Please reconsider if you’re thinking of applying at The Southern.

Been here for two years :-) every time we’ve ever had an issue (maintenance, general questions, etc) management has been in touch day of to help us ! Lots of storage space, big open rooms with tall ceilings, and the only carpet flooring is in the bedrooms! The only difficulty we’ve ever had is the wifi has been a bit slower lately, but it doesn’t matter much to us to be honest! Overall my favorite location I’ve ever been and will be sad when I have to go!

I stayed here for 2 years and it’s a very quiet area with nice people. They are pretty lenient with lease extensions for an extra month or two, which I was thankful for. It also wasn’t bad for the price but rent increased and we moved out soon after. I called a couple months after moving out to see if I was getting my $450 deposit back and they said they kept it for cleaning services? We cleaned the entire apartment very well before leaving, so I wasn’t sure what cleaning company they used that charged that much? Another incident was my sister was visiting me and a tree on the property fell on her windshield, destroying it, and the property management said they couldn’t pay for the damages because she wasn’t actually a resident at the apartments.
