The Signorelli Company

We built our home in 2020 in Diamond D estates. We used First American. It has been one problem after another. From obvious patches in the drywall, to drywall peeling and bulging. To a HUGE 6" bulge in the floor of one of the upstairs bedrooms and the field rep told us it was our fault. The reason I am writing is that I just put in for a warranty job on my drywall pulling away from the ceiling. I was told that it look like they used nails instead of screws and was incomplete. I got a call back yesterday that it was out of warranty and they would do nothing. A two year old home! Drywall pulling away! Either bad work or cheap labor or cheap products. The roof decking already looks like it is giving out. Come to find out they used thin decking and cheap roofing. Next is the doors. No door shu

They clear cut hundreds of acres next to us and it looks like they plan on just filling in a pond next to our home on their property. Looking at their neighborhood plans it doesn't appear that they are going to put in a retention pond in the area. That means when they build the new homes there they are probably going to flood when it and so will ours!

Just closed on a house with First America Homes. The people with that company were great to work with. The Signorelli company was okay. Signed the papers and basically got me out of the office. I'm no expert but once you close they usually take a picture of you holding the "key". That was never offered. Parking at the office was terrible. Luckily I was the pnly person there aside from office workers from what I could tell.

I'm very dissatisfied in my dealings with this organization, which seems to promote a culture that values the bottom line (narrowly defined) over clear contractual commitments to customers. It's also interesting that so many Signorelli employees find it necessary to come to these reviews and leave five stars for the entity that pays their bills (seemingly to counter so many real one-star reviews from actual dissatisfied customers). I found over a dozen. Very sketchy behavior. There are plenty of quality, ethical construction companies in Houston. I would advise from experience to seek them out, and to avoid this one (and its subsidiaries).

As the parent company of First America Homes, I am not impressed with service received. We purchased our home in Teal Crossing, located in Willis. The backyard has been a mud pit due to improper grading. We have been given excuse after excuse as to when this is going to be resolved. This is the biggest and most costly mistake. Stay away from First America Homes.
