If I could give a negative rating, I would have done that. Dishonest and Incompetent property management. Took over our building from previous owners, sent us wrongful eviction notice for "substantial remodeling". Me and my neighbors were more caught up on the laws than they were. We requested the owners to find a middle ground so that we could save our little community and still pay the market rent without the remodeling. But of course capitalism. Finally sent the right notice after 5 months with permit. We all vacated but property management decided to keep my partial refund because I was the last one to vacate and there was outdoor furniture in the common area from previous owners. When I was looking for an apartment in San Mateo, Scafine Group was a huge help. Connor was an angel along the way, helping me in every way possible to move in as quickly as possible. I lived there for a year and a half, and everything was perfect. The neighbors are very respectful and friendly. When I needed some maintenance on the heater, the app was prompt and easy to use. The maintenance staff acted quickly, and everything worked perfectly. I loved my apartment so much that it was sad to move out. I tried to leave it just as I received it the first time, clean and ready to move in. If you're looking for a place to live, don't hesitate to look for Connor; he's very kind and easy to communicate with.

I rented a place in San Mateo county for about two years. Scafine did a good job with management. Connor was great in showing the property and processing the application. They have a good system for this. After that they have an app for all payments and maintenance that works well. Any issues for maintenance were resolved promptly. Moveout was efficient and everything was email and electronic, which was great. Keep in mind that the company is beholden to the owner so that could frustrate any tenants. The bay area is expensive and competitive. Overall, good company to find a rental.
