The Ruby at Brookfield Square

EDIT 1: The pool was cleaned after complaints were made to the property management. (3/5) EDIT 2: The management really picked things up. No complaints! Guess they just needed to get their bearings a bit. (5/5) The Ruby WAS a great place to live in, which is why we moved in. The new management, RPM Living, should be named RPM Dying, because that is what they are doing - slowly killing everything that ever made this place worth living. There is no excuse for the blatant tardiness, unsanitary conditions, and extreme nonchalance of the staff. Ever since they have moved in, the coffee machine rarely ever works, the pool is never cleaned(and if you tell this to the management, they would say - "Oh, we cleaned it today, don't you think the pool looks better?") Living here has been a genuinely pleasant experience. The community is calm, orderly, and clearly cared for. Since the recent transition in management, there’s been a significant improvement—staff members are courteous, proactive, and easy to communicate with, which has made a real difference in day-to-day living. The property is kept in great shape, and the overall environment feels comfortable and welcoming. It’s a place that truly feels like home.

The recent change in management at The Ruby has been the most positive experience yet. They engage with their residents, support the weekly book club, and provide resident engagement activities such as: vision board, paint night and hot cocoa bars. They offer a gift wrapping station for those of us who didn’t want to buy all the supplies but wanted nicely wrapped gifts. You can feel the change that the new leadership is bringing to The Ruby. For the first time, I am excited to call The Ruby home.

I am not one to normally provide reviews but I felt like future potential residents should know what their life at the Ruby will look like. Despite the property being marketed and priced as a luxury community, the actual resident experience has been consistently undermined by poor oversight, inadequate communication, and unresolved operational issues. Living here feels like residing in a luxury hotel where the building is visually impressive, but the front desk is unresponsive and essential services are disorganized. The physical appearance of the property suggests a premium experience, yet day-to-day management fails to meet even basic expectations. The new management team that just started is so great! They have been helpful and thoughtful not just here to work but here to create a community! I hope RPM stays forever! than you to the team for doing so much in such a short time!
