I lived at The Palms for about a year and unfortunately cannot recommend this property. The biggest issue is the overall lack of maintenance and quality control. Many parts of the property feel old and poorly maintained, and problems tend to remain unresolved for long periods of time. The trash chute was frequently clogged — sometimes for multiple days — which forced residents to carry garbage manually to the outdoor dumpsters. This happened regularly. The jacuzzi situation was particularly frustrating. It was effectively unusable from December until mid-February. There were only a few short periods when it briefly worked. At one point the jacuzzi was literally broken apart for repairs and left that way for about two weeks. Eventually a new basin was installed, but the jet pressure is n

Avoid renting here if you expect to get your deposit back or want a quiet living environment. While most of the staff treated us kindly and politely, we decided to move out after 10 months due to the constant highway noise and inconvenient parking. However, the apartment management deducted $950 from our $1,000 deposit. We gave them 10 days to inspect the apartment, and they assured us everything was in good condition and that we didn't need to fix anything. Despite this, we only received $50 back. You can see from the photos that we left the apartment in this good condition.

I’m a current resident of 3 years. DO NOT MOVE HERE. This place is getting worse every day. Only plus, maintenance is AMAZING and so friendly. 1st: No one in my building has access to the elevator / trash chute because the stairs have been broken for MONTHS. I had to email them after 3 months telling them they had to tell us what was going on (literally no communication except for a note / blockade)- finally they emailed the next day telling us it would be fixed in 45 days, they backtracked and said the city won’t fix it at all for the foreseeable future. ITS RIDICULOUS. 2nd: If you have a bike you are forced to keep it inside of your apartment. They are also trying to enforce that we can’t keep anything but patio furniture / plants on our patio (with a vague part of our lease) - so i’m

I appreciate the efforts of The palms staff knowing that keeping up with a very old building is difficult. My special thanks to the manager for rectifying a matter that was deliterious to my health and to Gorde (I hope I am spelling his name correctly) for his maintenance assistance and kind help. That being said, I am recovering from hip replacement surgery and can't access the Parcel Pending boxes (and neither can Joyce since she has back issues). This is because the railing is unstable and needs to be replaced. The other access to rec room has no railing at all and is too steep for people who have the aforementioned health concerns. Also please inform all tenants to break down cardboard boxes before putting them in recycling bin. I don't have much admiration for Decron but give them cr

DO NOT MOVE HERE. There is a massive black mold infestation in all the buildings and apartments. The mold grew on my personal property, impacted my health and cost thousands in damages. The health department should be all over this place. AVOID AVOID AVOID if you care about your health and belongings. Moving here was the worst decision of my life.
