I have loved visiting this place. The amenities are great. I am excited to see the new movie room!

I lived there 3 years. Only really negative thing about it was the location. It's not known for it's safe location. The first night there, pwc knocking on door 6am ish, asking if we heard any noise at night; there was a shooting next door. Lol. I thought she meant apt next door, actually meant a house nearby. Other than that I loved it. Apts very nice, new or updated, nice bathrooms, new floors, walkin closet in BR. Nice little kitchen with roomy pantry. Quiet. Handicap accessible inside and out. Small reading rooms. Fully equipped large kitchen with seating and TV available for tenants to gather for eating, bingo, celebrations. Had good security at entrances. Rent was crazy cheap then. $700 for 1 br. Walking distance to shopping but no sidewalks to get there. After I moved a tenant was

We have lived in the Oaks for many years. This place used to be a great place to live. When the other resident manager Nakia was here it was great we had tenant meetings every month and maintenance issues were handled in a timely matter. When the new company took over and Nakia left it went to hell quickly. Christy locked the bathroom doors in the hall so visitors had nowhere to use the bathroom except to go in the bedroom and use it. There was not one tenant meeting in the six years she was resident manager. The call box had not been working properly for two years and now it is not working at all. This is supposed to be a secured building. The emergency maintenance person lives over two hours away. I sure hope the next company and resident manager does a better job and us able to get this

New ownership has ruined this apartment. There are only about 60 units. People stay a long time, everybody knows everybody. I liked it a lot. It was clean, up to date, well maintained, nicely decorated, landscaping pretty, parties, bingo, holiday fun, cookouts, you name it - everything. Then it was sold...to Related Mgt. That was in November of 2013. Since then it has spiraled downhill. Looks bad, no fun stuff anymore, rent increases drastically, repairs and maintenance not done in timely manner. Leases not prepared properly or in timely manner, errors throughout and not even signed by management. As soon as my ship comes in ($$$ retirement) I'm getting the heck outta here. I'll miss my friends, but its gonna be a ghetto in no time.

I came in over the weekend to visit my aunt and it's supposed to be a smoke-free residence as soon as I walked into the building all I could smell was cigarette smoke.. the walls need to b painted..the paint is just splashed up there. The furniture that's in the lobby on the 2nd floor has been there since the building was built... As much money as they are charging seniors for rent the could put some of that money back into the community.....
