The McElwain School Apartments

I had to stop by the McElwain School building while in the Bridgewater area, since it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building has been beautifully revitalized and expanded to serve the community. I especially love the public art installation in front.

The property manager Stephanie is always helpful and every interaction I’ve had with her has been a positive experience.

The Mcelwain school apartments is an asset to the Bridgewater community. The staff has been incredibly helpful to my parents in their journey to find quality, affordable housing as they downsize from their home. A huge, heartfelt shout out goes to Dawn, the property manger, for her patience, kindness and understanding of my family’s needs. She is responsive and follows up in a timely manner with calls and emails. She is truly a wonderful person, and has gone above and beyond to assist us in this difficult transition.

I applied for a one bedroom. This place does not understand what a 1099 is. I work a full time job and door dash on the side so with a 1099 there are write offs they expected me to know how much in write offs I had right off the bat once I explained what a 1099 was. At that moment I estimated as I had not filed yet with a tax professional therefore. They stated I made just a little too much. I just had my taxes done and I make $4000 less than the max for a 1 bedroom for 1 person. They make it impossible to be from town and get an affordable apt .they did not hear me and my concern . Then when I explained to them it isn't going to be accurate as I had not had my taxes done months ago before I recieved any w2 or 1099 they said it was fraud because they were not 100% accurate .they are a scam
