Edited on 10/19/2023: I have lived here 2 years after being on the waiting list for 1 1/2 years. Addressing complaints from other reviews: Photos of apartments and the facilities are online. The grey walls and windows are clearly visible. The website states the 3 rent levels based on income. It was explained to me when I applied that all new tenants start at the highest rate. No secret. Tenants will be moved down as lower allotment slot becomes available, if their income qualifies. After 6 months my rent went down a price level. It may take more-or-less time depending on turnover. Parking spaces are very limited. A new resident with a car will need to rent a space in the city parking structure across the street. There is a shuttle bus that takes residents to the grocery store on Friday

I love the Marist! I've been living here since July 2020 after being on the waiting list for 1 year. It was worth the wait! The management and staff are superb. Very clean and well set up for independent 62+ living. The tenants are very cordial and friendly. I would recommend The Marist to anyone who wants to live in the heart of downtown Tucson.
