DO NOT RENT HERE! The property and location are great. The maintenance team has also been great in my experience. However, the quality of the management company has completely deteriorated since I moved in three years ago. They will be swift in helping you get into a unit, but will become almost unreachable once you’re moved in. I switched units last year and my new unit was dirty with multiple plumbing issues upon move in. During the last year, our entire building experienced 6-8 unannounced water shutoffs during peak usage hours. When attempting to inquire about the shutoffs we were given no answers, while just being redirected to different names at the office who made no attempt to provide answers. Original: Assault, threats to human and pet life, car break ins, many actual car thefts right out of the parking garage, car vandalism and multiple tire slashings, package theft from apartment doors and constant damage to and theft from the package room, mail theft, inconsistent and unreliable USPS service because the landing had to redo their mailbox system and it did not comply with what USPS needed so USPS began refusing to deliver mail to the property until it was resolved. My stay at the landing has been filled with mix emotions. Although my apartment has done right by my housemate and I in terms of housing and comfort I can’t escape the constant feeling of fear in the complex. I have been a resident for a year and a half to which I’ve seen 4+ car thefts and many smashed windows, gates constantly stuck open in the middle of the night due to people ramming in. Not all of this is the fault of management of course they do provide wonderful apartments and great amenities. Theft in Oakland is crazy right now but the fact that the thieves keep coming in wether it’s to steal mail/package or bikes or cars or break into cars tells me that bad guys know it’s easy at the landing to get in and get out. the lack of urge to protect the tenants vehicles and belongings is

I had an issue with my washing machine when I first moved in and they were unable to fix it. This was on a Friday as you know the weekend was approaching. Herman told me that he would send a technician out and he did on a Saturday! Josue came to fix it but unfortunately they did not have the piece I needed. Josue ensured me he would get it handled for me since I needed to wash as I’d just moved in. He actually came out the next day, early with a whole new washer. Great service!
