The Highlands of Chevy Chase

Residents here of every age group from every place on Earth, of every race and faith. Building is maintained excellently and is thoroughly comfortable. The staff is terrific. The location is most advantageous, about the most convenient neighborhood imaginable. Best place I have ever lived and I am old. We live on the top floor and our views are spectacular. We have been here for over seven years. Not going anywhere.

Location, location, location...so convenient to a vibrant community and public transportation! I love my apartment in this very well-managed building. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, especially the folks at the desk. Maintenance is prompt and skilled. I enjoy all the amenities, especially the deck and pool in the warm weather. A real find!

In the time I’ve been at Highland House West I have really enjoyed living here. I love the location, the little park across the street, the rooftop space and pool, the balcony, and the gym. They’ve just spent quite a lot of time on the elevators, so they’re in great shape and have been renovated. The maintenance, cleaning and staff people are respectful and effective. The building shared spaces, garage and grounds are all clean and well kept. It’s a very safe and walkable neighborhood and there’s even a shuttle to take you to grocery stores if you like. I would recommend it.

I’ve been living here with my mom for the past couple of months now. And living here is amazing, Felix at the front desk is always nice and greets everyone that walks in the door. He is a ray of sunshine and always makes my mom and myself day whenever we see him in the lobby.

Nancy from the leasing office is unbelievably difficult to deal with. It’s been four months since we moved out and we are still fighting just to get our own security deposit back. This should have been the easiest part of moving out. My friend and I moved out in September 2025. All we’re asking for is a normal check addressed to one of us so we can deposit it. Instead, Nancy dragged this out by sending a check made out to the main tenant but with the second tenant’s address (???). Of course we couldn’t cash it. We provided the correct info right away, and her “solution” was insisting the check must be written to both of us — which makes the check useless unless we open a joint bank account just for this. Completely ridiculous. On top of that, communication has been horrible. Nancy takes
