The Halden

Rental rate was increased by $1000/month for the largest unit (3 BR, 2 bath) to almost $7000/month - the attempted price gouge forced us to leave. Now that same unit is being advertised for $ $4700/month! Dog poop on the sidewalk, urine in the elevator and on the hallway carpet is routine. In addition, management does not think that cleaning the carpets regularly or painting the doors (which are scratched with peeled paint) is something that should be done on a routine basis. Current manager is inexperienced, immature and incapable. Needs to be replaced. Trianna is very knowledgeable and excellent to work with. Trying to charge $7000/month for a unit that overlooks a parking lot shows a serious lack of understanding of what folks are looking for/willing to tolerate at that price point. Par

When I moved to the Halden in December 2023, I was one of the first few people there! I have a very spacious one bedroom apartment with a balcony, which my two dogs absolutely love. All modern appliances including a washer/dryer within the unit! The heating/cooling system is hooked up via the Nest, which I can manage through an app on my phone! I love how pet friendly the staff and community are. There’s an enclosed fenced-in area for the dogs to run around & play. There are also several pet stations (poop bags & trash cans) set up surrounding the complex. Meagan, the new property manager, has been wonderful! She and her team have been very creative in all the new events being planned. She is always seen with a smile on her face and welcomes new ideas! She is truly trying to improve this p

2 stars is being generous for this property. I’m convinced management is offering rent discounts for positive reviews. I moved in when the building was brand new. The apartment itself was fine. I appreciated good kitchen appliances, washer and dryer in unit, updated fixtures, and decent closets. Maintenance was friendly and quick to respond. That sums up the positives. Units are poorly constructed with vent fans that always run, switches that seem to be wired incorrectly, and absolutely no insulation. Cheap windows will lead to a higher electric bill if you expect your unit to be warm in the winter. The package room is a mess, with only one area for all 3 buildings in the complex. I rarely write reviews; however, I feel compelled to share my experience due to the extremely poor communication from this community. I applied for a unit that was listed as available at the time of my application. Despite repeated attempts to contact the leasing office by phone and email, I was never able to reach a representative. All responses were handled by an automated AI system, and there was no opportunity to speak with a human representative to resolve issues or obtain updates on my application status. After more than a week of waiting, I was informed by the AI system that the unit was no longer available. We were one of the first to move in when the Halden opened. We have a 2 bedroom apartment that is spacious. The new management staff is wonderful. Megan, the property manager is wonderful to work with. She cares about the tenants and is very creative with her events. You can always walk in to ask any question and they are there to help, thank you Trianna and Meegan The maintenance staff are quick to fix and help with issues, thanks to Jorge and James. My only complaint would be the parking. We would recommend The Halden.
