The Grove Merced Apartments

My daughter lives here and management continues to say she owes money for several months. They said she never paid the deposit or rent for the apartment she moved into. Doesn’t make sense. They told her when she was approved for her apartment that she would have the deposit and rent ,so she did. Who in this world allows you to move in to any rental place without paying rent and deposit? We her parents have made cashiers checks for her so we know she’s paid them. Does anyone know who she can call. She’s a single mother with a daughter with special needs. This is the 3rd time they are saying she has to come up with thousands to keep her apartment. They have had so many different people come in and manage the apartments and then they get rid of them. Have these people before not recorded it a

My Family has lived here for 9 years, and enjoyed our stay . Bad things happen that shouldn't take place like recycling gas from your car , stealing car parts breaking into your cars, parents not supervising their kids enough, when we first move in manager miss Nicole, I miss her she did the best at monitoring and managing the apts with guidelines enforced she didn't play but also had a soft spot for families who were trying shed give folks her fair warnings she didn't just start putting families out on the streets. If need be if we were to ever need to return to the grove for any reason we hope they welcome us with open arms, we really took great care of our unit. I do not recommend that anyone who cares about their safety or well-being Of themselves, and their family even waste their money on an application. The community is a mess, It’s trashy everywhere, and the landlords in the front office are in fact slumlords. They do not take care of the property or properly spray any Infestation, And have the audacity to charge extra fees and fines, regardless of their negligence. These should be considered less than low income apartments. Management needs to be fired. It’s shameful

I stayed with a friend for a couple days on a visit... During that time I had a cockroach fall on my ear litterally, cops there at all hours of the day and night basically held hostage because of the one entrance. Ots a hated community but the gates don't work and they towed my truck while I was visiting claiming it had been abandoned for months (note I had only viseted 5 days) I've grown up in public housing before and this place is a disgrace

Can't say enough bad things. They let anyone in. Gangbangers run the place. Kids can't play outside or they will be hurt by the older kids and kids of the bangers. Drug dealers in the apartments give drugs to the kids. Management couldn't care less, all they care about is money. They over charge you for everything. When one of the uncontrolled kids breaks a window it's your fault. You can't go to the mailbox without being harassed. Roaches everywhere!! Stray cats everywhere! If you have a car they will steal pieces of it and frequently they will steal the whole car. Drunk teens. The list even goes on. There are NO positives. Avoid this place at all costs.
