The Flats on University

I've lived here for about a month now and so far I'm liking it. My moving experience was a little bit hectic but that was partially also because of my family dynamics since they were helping me move. It still would have been easier if The Flats had a better system for a move-in though. Molly and James did the best they could and I really appreciated their patience with me and my family and all of our questions and messing up some of the directions that were given to us... They were all so very helpful on the phone with all of my questions before I applied and even after my application got accepted. The staff is very friendly and respectful every time I go to the leasing office to pick up a package, and the property itself is pretty well maintained. I don't really have any complaints so far

The Flats on University is a superb housing establishment I would recommend to any potential tenant. It has all of the important amenities. It is an excellent place to reside if you like to enjoy the downtown Fairfax business establishments and nightlife. It is also just a short 30 walking distance from the George Mason university campus. The rent costs are reasonable. All in all, I would recommend The Flats to any person looking for a great place to reside.

Lived here a year and a half. Management sucks and will try to illegally charge you fees on anything they can without putting it in the lease. Random inspections with absolutely zero notice. You will also never get your security deposit back from them, no matter how much work you do. Great location though as it’s walking distance to Mason and on the CUE bus line. I highly recommend looking for other housing in the area and not buying into their “luxury apartment” aka overpriced and cheaply built scam.

I have lived here for about 9 months. I absolutely LOVE it here. They were very helpful during my move-in and answered all my questions about my lease. The front desk team is amazing and always so kind. Their amenities have to be the best part! They have a pool, hot tub, massage chairs, tanning beds, and a 24-hour gym! I personally love that they hold resident events and always give free stuff. It's also so close to GMU, and their parking is pretty reasonable. I have already renewed, and it is a great place to live, especially if you want to be close to GMU.

I lived at The Flat University for 2 years and had a positive experience overall. Great location, clean apartment, and a comfortable environment for students. Staff was helpful when needed, and I felt safe living here. I would recommend it to anyone looking for convenient housing near campus!
