The Dylan

After living for 6 years at a building in Bayonne NJ, my girlfriend and I decided it was time to look elsewhere and we found The Dylan which was a breath of fresh air. Completely new from top to bottom, with a quiet, welcoming lounge for reading, playing board games, or doing work at the antique looking desk. Right next to the lounge is the gym with that ultra new scent like when you first sit in your next car for a test drive. Keep going down the hallway and you have the game room with a TV, foosball table and a full sized pool table. To continue on the first floor, there is a community laundry room even though each unit has their own laundry. The community laundry would most likely be used for larger loads. Of course a community bathroom was on the first floor as well. Make your way up

Wow. What a beautifully designed building! Coming from Hoboken with tiny apartments and record high rents, the Dylan checked all of my boxes. The ambience of the main floor and hallways made for a comfortable and welcoming impression. The color palette and lighting definitely makes it feel home-like and not like a hotel feel. I appreciate the extra storage and bike rack available to residents! One of the biggest pluses for me is the breathtaking sunsets I’m able to get a perfect view of every time! Can’t wait to use the grills when warmer weather comes back around. Another big plus is the gym, simple and accommodating. My favorite has to be the stair master which I haven’t seen in other buildings.

I recently toured The Dylan in Bayonne, and I couldn’t be more excited about moving in within the next six weeks! Unlike the larger developments nearby, The Dylan is a beautifully renovated historic landmark built of concrete and steel, which gives it such a solid, timeless feel. I love the boutique vibe with only 31 apartments, and it’s literally less than a minute’s walk to the Light Rail, making it super convenient for commuting to Jersey City and Manhattan. The apartments have a loft-like style with 12-foot ceilings and huge windows that bring in tons of light. I’m really looking forward to calling The Dylan home!

I heard this was a historical landmark in the city of Bayonne and I’m a big history guy. Loved the renovations done and everything to keep it original, the big windows that let in tons of daylight and the overall feel of the inside with the staircases maintaining the school like environment that it once was. Game room and the gym on site is a huge win for myself. Loved everything about the gym. Just wish there were a couple of machines maybe a leg extension/curl, leg press? Maybe even a smith machine or a barbell of some sort would really do the trick for me. Overall, extremely cool building with a nice vibe. If it had one or more of those machines, I’d make it 6 stars!

The Dylan is a place you can call home. Pat was extremely helpful during the move-in process; he addressed our concerns immediately and continues to address our questions. Thank you, Pat. Five-star ownership and building superintendent. A Smith machine would be a great addition to the gym.
