Found a great resource here with Jarrett Smith. He is always responsive and super knowledgeable about the local market. He would even message me after hours about potential commercial opportunities. I highly recommend him if you need any real estate help in eastern NC.

On boarding with Gabby in their residential homes was fantastic. We had some attitude with the official on boarding person within our first week of moving in maintenance needing to be done, but once everything went to Gabby and the rest of the office it was great. We are renting an older home so the other “issues” are just older home issues and they are willing to work with us with maintenance. Matthew Chesson who owns it is very nice and willing to do what he can. I have rented from others whose rentals had black mold that didn’t do anything about, and was reluctant. So this group that actually cares is fantastic.

I lived here for almost 2 years at Whirligig Station, and my experience was truly amazing. The app they use for paying rent and submitting maintenance requests is extremely easy to use. I never had a single issue with it. Everything was quick, convenient, and reliable. The office staff made my time here even better. Destiny, the property manager, and her assistant Morgan were always friendly, respectful, and professional. There was also a woman named Alex who always made sure your questions were answered and tasks were completed. Overall, every interaction I had with the office staff was a pleasure. I wouldn’t recommend renting any building that uses the Chesson Agency. Their property managers are disrespectful, they don’t fulfill work orders as they promise, they don’t return calls, and they do not return the security deposits back on time and will most definitely take from it. I still have yet to receive mine and I vacated the unit on May 3. Morgan Puentes created a large issue before I could even rent the apartment bc I viewed it with my father and in their opinion they thought he was dirty because he did not clean his unit upon move out when there was an agreement set that it wasn’t necessary because it wasn’t clean upon move in. It has been a pleasure working with chesson for the past year or so, I’ve had the pleasure of working with destiny and she is absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly and nice the girls at the office are very polite, always with a smile and greeting people like they should. I have nothing but amazing things to say about chesson!! I’ve also had the pleasure of working with a few realtors and they are amazing as well. Destiny is my go to person who always answers every question or concerns I might have!!
