Had a great experience working with Texas Classic Custom Homes and would certainly recommend them to anyone wanting to build a great home in the Bastrop area. Easy to work with start to finish.

TCCH built a beautiful house and guesthouse for us, collaborating closely with us to guide us through the construction process. Initially, we had multiple design sessions with the team to develop the house plans, incorporating our desired features. TCCH doesn't levy a charge to draw the architectural plans. Subsequently, we met frequently with the team to make the myriad selections required, from major items like stonework, roofing, electrical and plumbing, to minor details like cabinet hardware, light switches, etc. The team used their knowledge and experience to guide us in this process: since we never had a custom house built, we weren't aware of all the requirements. They referred us to specific suppliers for selections. We appreciated they didn't just accept the original price qu

They built my house which started developing cracks in 4 month. They say it is the soil so they aren't responsible. Doors won't close or gaps allow critters in. A scorpion already sting my dog. They refused to dry in the house during construction allowing water to sit on plywood flooring for a month. After screaming at them it took one day to dry it in. Too many other issues to list but be warned. Don is like the 'honest' used car salesman. Everything is beautiful until you drive off the lot.

Great working with Don and Linda on the design and construction of our home. While snags happened along the way (and what home build doesn't) the way issues were handled was what made this a fun and gratifying experience. I would without a doubt use Texas Classic again and would recommend for my family and friends.

All I will say is, get past performance on the quality of their work, because my experience with them shows it is not a part of their business plan. The sub's work is not checked and the customer is made to believe they are asking too much. Make sure your agreement is detailed in writing and then validate once work is complete. Good thing is they will correct poor workmanship if you bring it to their attention but in my opinion , the customer should not be the quality inspector.
