Any one who aims to buy a LGI home needs to have an attorney review your warranty, get a structural engineer , have a flooring inspector come in and confirm that they have sealant caulking applied to the LVP in the water areas such as bathrooms and kitchen as they deny the 15th step on their Shaw National Contract that none is needed . Please be advised that every single home must have a sealant caulking applied directly from the floor to the wall with 1/4 inch to protect water intrusion . Worst experience ever. Be very careful if you go into a contract at Terrata Homes, an LGI Homes company (ticker symbol LGIH) and be extra careful with a particular sales VP/Manager. After executing a contract with specific terms, it was revealed to us by their affiliated company, LGI Mortgage that they used the wrong agreement and included terms that they would not live up to. We stopped the process of application in order to circle back and try to understand what happened. Instead of trying to work it out with us, the VP of sales instead chose to play hardball and use intimidating language. He refused to put anything he offered in writing to correct the original error.
