Synovus Bank

Synovus Bank—particularly the Proctor and South Tamiami branch—has been consistently unprofessional and problematic for years. The issues start with the branch manager, who not only lacks professionalism but also resorts to disrespectful sarcasm when dealing with clients. Their incompetence was evident when they failed to resolve a simple account issue that any competent banker should have been able to fix. The investment/wealth management staff was also deceptive, misleading us into opening accounts despite our clear intent not to do so. They initially promised a 5% APR, not for an CD but for an investment account, only for the rate to drop significantly without any notification—an unacceptable lack of transparency when handling a large sum of money.
