Swan Harbour Apartments

We lived at Swan Harbor for a little over two years after moving to Michigan, and choosing this community was one of the best decisions we made. Swan Harbor was more than just a place to live—we made many great memories there. If we ever move back to Michigan, it will definitely be our first choice. The pricing is great, the neighbors are wonderful, and the management team—especially Diane and Michelle—is incredibly kind and supportive. Whenever we needed service or maintenance, requests were handled quickly and efficiently. On top of that, it’s located in one of the best areas in Michigan (Northville), with excellent schools and convenient access to shopping centers and gyms.

We've been at Swan Harbor for a year and have absolutely loved it! The area is very quiet but conveniently close to a lot of places, like downtown Northville, which always has great things to do. The service has also been great. Any maintenance issues we've needed help with have been resolved quickly and on the first attempt. We highly recommend Swan Lake to anyone looking for an apartment in the Northville area.

We had a wonderful experience living at Swan Harbour Apartments for the past two years. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts because it’s where we welcomed our first child. It’s more than just an apartment—it’s a home filled with love and cherished memories. A huge shout-out to Michelle and Diane from the management team! They are incredibly easygoing, approachable, and truly care about the residents' comfort and well-being. We also want to recognize Mike from the maintenance team for his exceptional work. Almost every request was handled the same day, and everything was fixed by the next day at the latest. Their dedication made living here stress-free and enjoyable. I have lived here for just about a year and just renewed my lease for another 12 months. The location is at the best of the Northville, 3 mins drive to Haggarty road and really close to everything I needed - Costco, AMC, Trader Joes, Meyer, Shake Shack, Chick Fila, Home Depot, Planet fitness, etc., all within 5-10 mins drive. The staff is fantastic, and the maintenance team has always been very, very, very fast and responsible. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a home.

During my experience with Swan Harbour, I observed that the community seems to primarily serve older tenants. The majority of long-term residents are seniors, and the office staff appears to be largely senior as well. In my interactions, it became clear that young people, particularly single men, are often discouraged from living here, and families with children are extremely rare. While the property is not officially a 55-and-over community, in practice it often operates as one. This is a HUD housing property. There are very clear stipulations for that and why a property chooses to be a HUD housing property.
