Sturbridge Village Apartments

If I could give this place 0 stars I definitely would. The staff is miserable and awfully rude to their tenants when there is any sort of complaint. I had extremely loud, violent, and unclean neighbors and the staff never actually helped me in any situation I called them for. Property manager Janet even had the nerve to tell me once that "maybe you shouldn't be living in an apartment" if I couldn't deal with "apartment living." Janet, if you can afford my house, I will gladly move into one. Also, I do not think being woken up by your neighbors in the middle of the night or being threatened by them for reporting their domestic violence to the police is something anyone should deal with in "apartment living" conditions. The sheer incompetency of the office staff is something to behold. Dealing with them just through the application process alone has been worse than getting teeth pulled out. (You'd think they would at least pretend to be helpful until they get you to sign the paperwork. But no, they aren't.) I call on my lunch break today at 10:45am, shortly after they open in order to sort out any last minute things for the lease which is supposed to go in effect tomorrow. The person they have answering phones in the office is unable to answer my questions. Okay, annoying, but no big deal. I asked them to get someone in contact with me as soon as possible. I get a call back around 2:30 and everything seems to be good to go. They answer my questions and I move on with my day. The office then contacts me

My best friend and I lives there in that complex. It is terrible. Some of the residents cars were stolen and/or even vandalized…and there were no cameras to even help them out. How do people live there and there’s no security cameras?!? From what we were told, the management doesn’t do anything to help either. Apparently this isn’t the first time. There is a lot of theft there, it’s no wonder why that place has bad reviews! What a joke! That is Orange County….People pay a lot of money to live there and the owners can’t even provide and pay for decent security…people driving around on bikes doesn’t constitute good security!!

The neighbors and maintenance team are awesome but, unfortunately, I can’t say the same for management. If you have an issue with lease reneawal via their website, you can call, call, call, leave messages, email, go to the front office during open hours, and get no response. And if they’re on an hour lunch break, expect them to be gone for two, or disappear off the face of the earth entirely.

Absolutely the Worst Management and Shady Practices This place has the most incompetent and neglectful management I’ve ever encountered. They couldn’t care less about their residents’ needs. The security is a complete joke—you’re practically on your own. Apartments are constantly being remodeled for no apparent reason, with endless construction projects that seem like nothing more than a money laundering scheme. They claim it’s for our “convenience,” but it’s all incredibly suspicious. Avoid doing business with these people at all costs! After moving out, they hit us with ridiculous and unjustified charges for damages we had nothing to do with. This is just another example of their shady and deceitful practices. To top it off, good luck trying to get in touch with anyone at corporate. Y
