If you're looking to move to East Palo Alto, I highly recommend Stanford Garden Apartments. I had to move quickly, and Sean, the building manager, was kind and incredibly helpful. I was able to move in within two weeks, and the whole process was smooth and simple. George, the property manager, was also great. He made a few last-minute fixes without any hassle and I'm super happy with the unit. The rent is very reasonable and includes all utilities except electricity. Plus, the City of San Mateo provides free Wi-Fi, which is a great bonus. The building has been around a while, so the units aren’t brand new, but they’re in good shape and clearly well cared for. George deserves special thanks for promptly addressing any issues in the apartment, and both George and Sean have been consistently quick to respond to emails and texts. I recently moved in and had a great experience with the move-in process. The apartment was clean upon move-in. While the building is older and some equipment wasn’t working perfectly, Sean and George (the property managers) were very responsive when I reached out. They quickly replaced the items that needed attention with brand-new ones, which I really appreciated. Would recommend this place to students and young professionals who work in Palo Alto.

My fiance and I lived here for about a year and enjoyed our experience overall. Although the complex is a bit dated and the hallways and trash area could be cleaner, the pricing is fair for the area. We really appreciated that the complex was gated for safety and loved walking around the adjacent neighborhood in Palo Alto. It was easy for us to move from a studio into a one bedroom about 3 months into our lease and George (the property manager) was always friendly and extremely helpful. You can tell that he really cares for the property and he always tries to go above and beyond. Overall, I would recommend!

We lived at Stanford Garden for three years, and were extremely happy with our home there. Sean (the landlord) and George (the property manager) were super accommodating and responsive, often going above and beyond, and we felt a strong sense of community with our neighbors. The neighborhood is lovely in its own way, with lots of trees - we particularly enjoyed the Redwood trees right outside our balcony door. It is a nice short commute if you work in Palo Alto. We would highly recommend Stanford Garden to our friends and colleagues.
