Untrustworthy. First time home buyers and Silver Oak Homes along with Coldwell Banker took advantage of us. Live and learn… left us with an unfinished driveway which was verbalized on multiple occasions would be completed in concrete to the road. Our real estate agent was present for conversations, and we did not get it placed ‘concrete driveway’ in the actual contract. She was floored, apologetic, written letters in our support… and to no avail. Silver Oak and Coldwell banker flat out lied saying they don’t recall that. Also, every other home in the neighborhood has their driveway finished in concrete to the road They completed a small portion of driveway and the rest gravel. Our heating and air was improperly installed. We also have electrical issues. They said if we didn’t buy the home

The worst experience I’ve had dealing with a private business. Paid 350000 for a home in a sub division with 50 houses+ in hartwell. All with concrete driveways. I was promised, by the builder’s representative, a home with a driveway paved “to the road”… Throughout the meetings for upgrades such as bonus rooms and special floors and countertops, for which I paid thousands of dollars up front, I was repeatedly reassured that the driveway, which is 225 feet long would be paved “to the road” to match the rest of the neighborhood. I visited the site several times and saw things that would make me raise my eyebrows… Shower drains drilled through floor joists.. Main water line busted and toilets flushing mud for a day.
