Select Property Management

Please read the enclosed images for a description of my experience with Select Property Management which, unfortunately, necessitated legal action recently

Approved me for unit. Knew security deposit & 1st month was guaranteed thru an agency. Took my $70 application fees, then said had to pay FULL DEPOSIT for unit immediately if we wanted it. TOTAL BS. knew I was low income, knew $ was coming from agency, took my $ then made it IMPOSSIBLE for me to move in. All the income & deposit details I wrote on the APPLICATION so they knew it, we talked about it from the very start. POOR WAY TO DO BUSINESS... TOOK ADVANTAGE OF LOW INCOME PEOPLE!!!! They Knew they weren't gonna wait, they should have had BALLS & DECENCY TO SAY SO AT THE BEGINNING. If I could give negative stars I would... DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND......

May 2025: ZERO STARS for Select Property Management and Lisa Manor in Yuba City! All the bad reviews you see about them are TRUE. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO MAKE YOUR LIVING SITUATION MISERABLE AND EVEN DANGEROUS! Nonrefundable deposit before even seeing the place, move-in inspection was disgusting and the lady made sure to remind us the deposit was nonrefundable because she saw how distraught I was seeing the dump we were about to move into (no choice for us because of our then living situation and we were out of money for a different place), promise tons of improvements but only delivered like 1/2 then charge and blame it on you as much as possible, they'll replace your broken stuff with other people's used stuff as much as possible, they somehow turn down the water pressure whenever

I have lived in my apartment For 10 years, Select property management has been very good to me and my two younger kids who are now all grown up. They have always worked with me on my rent when I was on Workmen’s Comp and when I needed something done it was fixed right away. I could not ask for a better management team to rent from

I was looking for rentals for at least three months. I was about to give up and live with relatives. That is exactly the time I found SPMI. In a mater of days they had me approved for a nice apartment. The team got me in, and I moved with confidence. I worked closely with them and they not only treated me with respect they dealt with me on every curve. If I needed something repaired or replaced, they handled it with speed and a courteous manor.
