I know people move everyday and I am blessed to have housing. I had to be the one to move out after my almost 8 year relationship. Scott Properties appeared to be very communicative when responding to all of the apts that I wanted to view. They seemed like a good company and I really liked their slogan "trust, integrity, and ethics". Sadly, these 3 tenants have been lacking ever since I moved in. Repairs of the tub and patchwork in the bathroom were supposed to be completed before I moved in. The lease reports that when you move out, you must pay to have the apartment professionally cleaned. General cleaning was done, but the kitchen and bathroom cabinets were replete with dirt, grime, and hair. All of the blinds were filthy and so were the ceiling fans, light fixtures and thermostat. CA Law states: "Within 21 days after move-out, the landlord must send the tenant an itemized statement explaining in detail any deductions from the security deposit (unless they total less than $125), and return the rest of the deposit. o If the landlord did the repairs, the statement must show the work done, the time spent, and the hourly rate. o If someone else did the work, the landlord must provide a copy of the bill for the work. o If the work cannot be finished in 21 days, the statement must give a good faith cost estimate. The landlord must then provide the final statement and return the remaining deposit within 14 days of finishing the work"... they illegally withheld an extra amount of my security deposit for a total of 220 even

I am a tenant at one of Scott properties older buildings that they manage.. In the past the maintenance management personnel has not been great at communicating or getting repairs completed in a timely matter. But since Miguel and Carlos have been handling this department, commutation,response time, and common curtsey has improved greatly. It's never a easy issue when repairs are needed but having a good line of communication with the people dealing with the issue makes a world of difference. Thank you Miguel for all your help.

The new maintenance manager, Miguel has been excellent. Prior to Miguel joining Scott Properties communication was very poor. The maintenance request system has significantly improved since he has started.

I live in an older building and over time I have had problems locking both front door locks and closing the door normally. The door was not properly aligned. I created a maintenance request with Scott Properties. They responded in a timely manner. Handyman David was sent to address the issue. He is awesome, professional, friendly and diligent. I hope Scott Properties realizes what great service he provides. He not only fixed the issues, but my door and locks have never worked better! I am more than satisfied. I hope I don’t have any issues for awhile, but if I do, I hope David is my handyman once again. A++++ Thank you Scott Properties team and David.
