I have lived at School Lane Apartments for six years, and my experience has been excellent. The leasing manager, Angie, has always been extremely nice and helpful. She consistently went above and beyond to resolve any issues for me， even after I moved out, when an important personal document was mistakenly delivered here, she kindly kept it safe for me so I wouldn’t face any risk. The maintenance team is also wonderful. Over the past years, they have always responded quickly and responsibly, making sure all my concerns were addressed in a timely manner. The location is very convenient as well—it’s close to the university, Main Street, supermarkets, and great restaurants. Overall, I highly recommend School Lane Apartments for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable place to live.

I have been living at School Lane since 2021 June. It has been a pleasure. The location is great to walk to shcool and Main Street. Management (Angie) is very nice, responsive, and efficient. Maitenance people (Sorry I forgot their names but I remember their faces) are very helpful, quick to respond, honest, and resprectful. The building is a bit old but the quality is solid and essential upgrades have been made. There also routine pesticide checks, fire alarm checks, and filter changes, etc. This is not a luxury living establishment but the quality of living is not compromised since management and maitenance are responsible and reliable. Great place overall. Lived here from 2019 to 2022. Did not want to leave. Plenty of dumpy/slummy/ripoff apartments in New Castle County. Happy to report that this is not one of those. Which is exciting. In fact, there's not really anything wrong with this place. I can think of no major problems, in 3 years of residency. The small maintenance issues we needed to report were handled with dizzying speed. Staff were professional, no complaints there. Tons of stuff within walking distance. Minus 1 star for the parking situation. I guess it's no surprise, being that close to Main St., but expect to have a car rather far away from your unit. I would give 0 stars if I could, but unfortunately, that's not an option. While I could complain about numerous issues, I'll focus on just one. Despite leaving the apartment impeccably clean, we were unjustly charged $324 for six stains on the carpet in one of the bedrooms (amounting to $54 per stain). Even if the carpet needed replacement, this charge is exorbitant. We told them it is extremely unjust, they didn't care. I'll be attaching photos of the stains and proof of the deposit deduction. If you're considering moving to this place, be prepared to kiss your full deposit goodbye, even if you leave the place in perfect condition. School Lane seems determined to squeeze every last cent from your deposit.
