If this is your first time and your unsure how this all works and need someone to answer some questions and walk you through the process. This is not the place. I called the other day and requested a call back from the sales team to ask some questions. I waited for a return call till the next day just to be told to come down and look at their models which could have just been done when i called initially. These people really are sales people which is normally fine if your actually being sold what you want. I knew what I wanted and he kept trying to suggest something different like he needed to get something off his lot. Bought house one month ago have had 3 leaks in ceiling one they fixed a 2 said they don’t see a problem. The floors are contact paper stove dented and draw won’t stay in refuse do anything windows leak and build condensation. Heater will only heat middle of house won’t heat end of house. Shed has over 100 nails sticking out inside won’t fix says how it comes. This is only a few things out of 30 that have found in 30 days don’t buy from this place.This is a family son daughter and father so far son is very difficult to work with. Oh and forgot to mentioned leak is in light he said next time it leaks let me know so what is is electrical and breakers in house keep tripping. Never even removed light to see if wet under light.Half left message and written 4 email no answers. Amazing 2 mangers

Not a bad place to live but can certainly understand the frustration in the below posts over lack of returned calls, or really any sort of communication (other than via a paper stuck to your front door telling you they're increasing the rent each year). Usually only get a call back when you threaten not to pay for something. It's unfortunate things have strayed so far from what would typically be described as "acceptable" over the last 10 years here. Maybe some day things will get back to how they were. Otherwise not bad and their fees are reasonable once you're in.

Went in to get a price on a home. They don't have/give prices because they want to add on extras!. The brochure has standard features but they apparently don't want to sell an inexpensive home. Didn't even offer to sit in an office to discuss business. I tried to find out what a basic cost would be and then another guy in the office with an attitude came out from behind the counter in threatening fashion saying "I'll explain it to him". Using an automobile sales analogy in a condescending manner. I told him price was everything due to my deaf brother who has minimal income and savings. I have had my own businesses in the past and would never deal with a potential customer as they did. Amazing that they can stay in business! Bad attitudes, poor business practices, physically intimidating.

I have had such a great experience with Glenn and Adam at Salem Manufactured Homes. This is my first home and they really take great care of their customers, even AFTER the sale agreement is signed. I feel so lucky that I purchased a home from them, they show up even if the problem is with comcast not knowing how to hook up the cable which has nothing to do with them! The home is also beautiful and well built! Sarah
