Rouse Chamberlin Homes

I'm not sure where David bought his home, but my experience with Rouse is the exact opposite. I alerted them right after move in June 2021 that my railing on my staircase was not supported properly, and even provided photos of the railing in question from other models with the same stairs. They all had the support. I was called by Mike Honan at Rouse and told it would be fixed. We are now in 2022 and my railing has not been fixed. The parts were even delivered to my house months ago and taken back. Rouse has given me no update in regards to this and has not scheduled anything for 7 months. We don't need to get into the fact my oak railing I paid extra for had a chip in it they insisted they wood putty, or that it had exposed nails, or the many other issues besides the railing. Our Hawthorne Model was purchased in November 2015. The outside color is Certainteed Siding/Color Granite Gray. Rouse Chamberlain quickly responded to our inquiries on resolving issues within a day. For example, our bathtub in our master bath had a manufacturer defect with an air bubble (under warranty). The issue was resolved promptly. We also had a leaking window in the Master bedroom which the window manufacture was contacted and resolved painlessly. I am quite impressed with their quality of service and we are quite happy with our home.I am super happy with the help given by Melanie, Rich, and Rob.

I’m happy to say we built our new home one year ago and we have been extremely happy with the total experience. From start to finish and beyond, the people in the company have been informative, caring, and responsive. The quality of the home is excellent, and when something needs attention it is taken care of. Our home purchase with Rouse Chamberlin has been a wonderful benefit for my whole family. We are glad we chose this builder.

I'm updating this as my final review. The front end (before you settle) is top notch. Getting them to fix things after you settle is harder. That is where the one star review is coming from. It is too time consuming and they don't make it easy. They also pressure you to write reviews immediately after settling and you get (or we did at least) a gift card for good reviews. I would do the following things again to make sure I have a well built house, and I do have a well built house in my opinion because we did these things. 1. Make sure you read their contract carefully, and alter it as you need to. 2. Make sure you revise the contract to include a pre-drywall and post dry wall inspection.
