River Pointe Apartments

DON’T RENT HERE!! I’ve lived here for 7 months and when I first got here the place was great even with the college students. Maintenance was always cleaning the outside and if you put in a work order they was on top of it. The old staff knew each tenant. They also did activities for the tenants. Once we got this new management everything changed. Since she came in there was break ins and someone looking though windows. Did she email us and let us know? No she didn’t she wanted to keep it in the office. The office stays locked all day there was plenty of times tenants had went to the office and no one was there during business hours. The pool was closed the first week she has got there. And with the maintenance man now he’s a character!! He doesn’t do anything but ride around on that cart o

My friends have lived at River Pointe for a while now, and I have to give credit where it’s due — the Micah, Community Manager here is amazing! She’s fun, friendly, always professional, and you can tell they genuinely care about the residents. Anytime I’ve interacted with her or needed help with something, she has handled it quickly and with a great attitude. It’s refreshing to have management that actually communicates and follows through. The property feels well taken care of, and that’s 100% because of the NEW leadership here. Big thanks to Micah for making River Pointe such a great place to live!

If i could give negative stars i would. I moved in under the impression it was a good place for college students. It is not, seeing as it turned into conventional leasing right after i had already signed my lease. There is constant screaming, have had to call police for a young teenager having a gun, Have seen another teenager get jumped, constant loud cussing and yelling. It’s also not clean what so ever, i pulled in today and almost stepped on a used tampon. Genuinely feel unsafe being here now and will not be resigning here. Maintenance does not do their job, compared to the last management company that would fix things the same day you put in a request. I put in for a fixed fire alarm and it took over a month. -5 stars.

Carrollton has many poorly run student apartments, but this is not one of them. I throughly enjoyed my two year stay at River Pointe Apartments! The quality of my unit when I moved was great. The carpet was actually in good shape and everything was clean. Even better, the old washing machine was immediately replaced with a brand new one when it broke my first month living there. They also replaced the old dish washer with a brand new one a year later. The maintenance team was always respectful and competent. The management and staff were always kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend River Pointe as opposed to the other awful student housing complexes in Carrollton

Do not move here. Management loves to come to your unit unannounced with no heads up to look around and judge how it looks in your home. The old management used to be courteous and send emails letting residents know they’d be coming by so you can get your bearings straight, not these new people though. They don’t care. They want a reason to kick you out or charge a fee. For my moms and folks who work full time just know they don’t care and will use the state of your home on a random weekday morning as representation of how you live 24/7. Be more courteous people !!!
