River Annex

Worked for what we needed it for. Maintenance for the most part was prompt. The manager Angie is very nice and helpful!

I have lived here on two separate occasions. The apartments are pretty basic but you can make it feel cozy. Theres also lots of storage. I really like the area because it feels safe and quiet. The price is reasonable. I really loved using the dog park. The 2nd time I lived there I had a remodeled unit and the corner space so great. I want to say how amazing Angie is. She does whatever she can to help you out. She's been reasonable about solutions (such as room changes or lease takeovers). When I had to move she helped me find a new tenant. When a man wouldn't move out even when we signed a lease for his unit she helped us find a better unit. I’ve lived at River Annex for about a year now and will be continuing for another. Angie and Mike are very helpful and there to help with any questions or concerns you may have regarding anything within or on the property. I live in a single room on the second floor and it’s not bad for the price. I would love updated countertops, appliances (kitchen and laundry) and bathroom (which is why it’s 4 stars and not 5)but everything has been working and I’m decent shape for the time I’ve been here. It’s nice that the Athens Transportation Bus stops right outside the complex for easy access to Uptown. Would recommend this place for those looking for a place to live for a couple of years or so in Athens on a cheaper budget.

Since I moved into the River Annex, I’ve felt safe and secure, surrounded by caring neighbors, many who are advanced OU students. The staff is AMAZINGLY caring from the moment I met Angie, the property manager, she’s taken time to do whatever is needed. Mike & his maintenance team have been stellar! Since Mike is relatively new, it will take a while to get the older buildings into a point of having the periodic maintenance issues handled where the calls will be more manageable. His knowledge is impressive and he fixes things correctly! On one occasion, my tire pressure was too low to drive and Angie came to the rescue with a portable air pump! I love living here and just renews my lease for another term.

River Annex is a wonderful place for grad students. Location is perfect, you are still within minutes to all grocery stores and uptown Athens, but you do not have to deal with all of the loud parties you would encounter is you lived on campus or close to campus. Apartments are very spacious and the staff are very friendly and will help accommodate you as much as they can.
