Risor of Blaine

I've been living here since July, and my experience has been fantastic. The management team Annie and Maria is always friendly and helpful, which truly makes my stay better. The community is generally very quiet, except in the community areas where we can meet and socialize with other residents. A great way to feel connected. The residents are welcoming, and seeing some of them with their small dogs always brightens my day.The property also organized events, which keep me engaged and make the community feel lively. The amenities are wonderful and consistently clean, adding to the overall comfort and convenience. This place strikes a perfect balance between peace and community interaction. I highly recommend it to anyone.

We were attracted by the amenities and the price but there are a few hiccups. Communication felt like a struggle whether via text, phone or email. We would have appreciated move in info in the apartment especially since we moved in on a holiday weekend and were not sure where to put cardboard, pool hours etc. There were several minor maintenance items prior to our move in and those were not addressed. With all that said, you will have it with any community of this size, we are grateful to be here and loving it thus far!

I have become the joy of my family and the envy of my friends. The family is so happy that I am in such a great place. The management is super, Annie and Maria are so helpful and welcoming. The amenities are outstanding. Maintenance, which I have found is rarely needed, responds quickly and professionally. The residents are gracious and friendly. I’m very happy to be here.

Updating the review as the community matures, reviews need to as well. I have been a resident now for 20 months. The community is well taken care of as the maintenance is top notch and responsive to issues. Growing pains are expected but I think they are handled well. They recently updated the security access - new video call box, better door fobs, and garage stickers. They updated the resident online portal which is a better experience but still needs work. I have not had a maintenance claim but it looks simpler. The community is nearly filled and another resident reported it is one of the best values in the twin cities. We are in a unique position. We have lived at the Maple Grove Risor since it opened in June of 23. We considered moving to the Blain complex to be closer to medical complexes that lately we are at a lot! We loved the added bonus of having Maria Reed be our manager. Maria was much loved in MG but was needed in Blaine. Unfortunately, there was not a St Croix apt available at the time of our visit, we loved ours so much we wanted to have that exact Apt. Ironically, we were given new Drs who are based about 6 blocks from us now in MG. We were greatly relieved for the fact that we would not have to leave the many friends here.
