Rexburg West Apartments

I lived here for about 9 months. Management is terrible. When we first moved in they gave us an incorrect key and we got locked out. They blamed it on us made us pay. They said they "reduced the fee" to $40 to help us out, but I was completely their fault. They are rude and don't do much to take care of the place. I know some of the other tenants were very unhappy with his they were treated. They will hit you with a fee to clean the carpets when you leave so don't expect all your deposit back. When we transferred the lease they tried to hit me with some fees they won't tell you about. Just refuse to pay them. They are not legit. Redoing my review because honestly, this place SUCKS. Maintenance never does their job right - we literally have to fix the issue ourselves. Then there’s the managers. We moved out, and in the contract it says you have to notify them within 30 days, so we did. Then we messaged them again a few days before we moved out just to remind them. No response. We messaged them the day we moved out. No response. A few days later, we said we moved out and still have the keys and weren’t sure what to do with them. No response. Then we get an email from a co manager saying they have never received any of our messages, and will start charging us rent for not returning the keys. ..... NO. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Like one of the previous reviews said, "avoid this place like the plague." It's totally true. Management is a joke, they lie constantly, and never fix anything, going on with that, maintenance took 1-2 weeks to actually get something fixed in the apartment. We started to fix things on our own, because we didn't want to wait longer than we wanted to, we probably paid more for repairs than they did. Also, if you live here, don't expect to get hardly any of your deposit back, they will bleed you dry. If you move here, make sure you get written notes/confirmations from the management because if you don't, they will claim they never said anything, or they will make up some excuse. I don't even know where to start. Black mold EVERYWHERE. It was horrible. We had to throw away so many things. Maintenance walked in on me while I was home alone with no warning with several men when it was only a one man job. They left our bathroom a mess (we didn't even need anything fixed in the bathroom...?) They left a tar stain on our floor, and said they'd fix it, but never did. We were told that we'd get our full deposit back with how terrible our experience was, but when we got it back, we saw that they still took out an extra $200 for "cleaning fees." And that didn't include the other fee for "carpet cleaning." We left that place SPOTLESS. We scrubbed the walls for hours and scraped off every bit of black mold that we could. With everyone else, if I could give this place a zero, I would. Black mold. Management is terrible. They took our entire deposit and then some for bogus repairs. After months of fighting to get our money back, we gave up. They accused us of having cats running ramoid around the apartment and claimed it smelled like cats. There never cats. Only the people before us. With how much money we ended up paying to fix all the maintenance problems because they wouldn't, I could have lived in a much nicer place.
