I am writing this review to warn others about the unprofessional and deeply offensive behavior I experienced at the hands of Robert Arnone, the owner of RCA Management in Bayonne, NJ. Approximately two weeks ago, I returned a phone call from Mr. Arnone regarding a plumbing issue that required access to the apartment—an apartment owned by my boyfriend. During this conversation, Mr. Arnone’s tone quickly became hostile and inappropriate. Despite my calm demeanor, he began belittling me and made the outrageous comment that I “wasn’t in the hood.” Let me be crystal clear: I am a Black woman from Texas who has never lived in the hood, and his statement was not only inaccurate but also blatantly racist. This is the worst Management Company I have ever dealt with. I’ve never felt more unsafe in my own home. Robert came to my apartment unannounced, banged on my door violently for over a minute, and yelled, “You need to open this door!” I was so terrified I was shaking. As a single woman living alone, I didn’t open the door because his aggressive behavior made me fear for my safety. Later, I called the management company to find out why this happened, and Robert answered. He immediately started yelling at me, claiming he was coming back at 1 PM to remove my window AC units.
