Quadrel Realty, owned by the private equity firm North Park Ventures, is the worst management company I’ve ever experienced. My utility fee increased 167% when I renewed my lease. My “renovated” unit had cabinets falling off the wall, and their fix was just adding nails/screws. I killed multiple mice before they sent an exterminator weeks later. When smoke detectors in the hallway kept going off all night, it took filing a 311 request and involving the fire department before they finally addressed the issue. I wouldn’t recommend renting here to anyone.

Big shout out to our new Evanston Manager, Valerie, for making the residents feel a part of a community. In January, Valerie invited all residents of the Evanston Quadrel Properties to a cocktail party at nearby Cafe. Friendly, welcoming environment to get to know management and my neighbors. During the 3 years of Quadrel management, I have always had positive experiences with my apartment and my few maintenance issues were quickly solved. Happy to have just renewed my lease for another year! Plus, the lake is only a 5 min walk!! 933 Michigan Ave

I lived at one of Quadrel Realty’s properties for just under 3 years and I would not recommend them based on my experience. When I first moved in, the unit/building was not ready for occupancy. They were renovating most of the units in my area and there were multiple time where I had no water or electricity. Later, the air conditioning stopped working during the summer and was not repaired for over a month, despite repeated requests. There were many days where my apartment was over 85 degrees. After incessantly calling the office, it was finally fixed. Mind you, this happened around the time I had given notice that I would not be resigning my lease. I was a tidy, respectful tenant that paid on time every month so this retribution was uncalled for. I also attempted to contact management

Renters Beware of Quadrel Lease Practices: I am retired. I found a nice apartment in Evanston online for $1800/month. I called to see it. The agent said there were a few other people waiting. I was afraid I might lose a nice place in a nice location. Nice looking building. Nice, clean foyer. New paint. Wood floors OK but with a few stains. I have rugs. The radiators had large rust spots but I liked the space and the nice, clean kitchen. Laundry below and for an extra $50/month a garage space. I had a 50lb. Japanese dog who was 13 years old, never barked and was extremely well-trained. The apartment was listed for $1800 similar to others in the area. I called and said I would take it. I was sent the lease immediately by email only to discover a number of one time add-on fees and sever

Do not rent here! They own many properties in Evanston including Hampton Parkway. I finally was able to move out of this place after they kept increasing my rent over the years to the point I’d be paying over 2,000 for a 1 bedroom that was falling apart with no amenities or upgrades and no parking included. and I would have still renewed my lease if they just kept the same price. But when I tried to ask for the same rent, they pretty much told me I should just leave. And now my unit has been vacant for months and they have rent listed as $1200 😭😭😭. Not only are these people scammers, but they’re just bad at business. The conditions are actually so bad that many properties under Quadreal have started tenant unions. All the other reviews reflect just how bad conditions are.
