Been meaning to post this for a while, life just got busy. Location was great, price was not great, and the apartment itself was cute. However, there's some important things to note when you live in an old house that's been renovated into apartments, and some comments about maintenance that need to be noted. But god forbid if you trigger the fire alarm. There's nothing you can do. They don't provide air circulations or fans over their stoves so pretty much any time you cook, the fire alarm goes off. The fire department (and I mean an entire fire truck) has to come to turn off the alarm. On top of that, all the windows are sealed shut. Not only is it a pathetic waste of resources, but no fire exits or windows that can open is a fire hazard and it is illegal. The thermostat was locked. Ye

I had a terrible experience working with Property Stars LLC, specifically with Kelly Jones. After paying a full deposit and an additional fee, the situation was mishandled and the funds were not properly returned or accounted for. Communication was poor, and I was left feeling completely taken advantage of. It’s deeply disappointing to encounter such a lack of honesty and accountability. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with this company to proceed with extreme caution and get everything in writing.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Kelly from Property Starz is unprofessional and takes advantage of college students. Out of our $2,100 deposit, we only got $150 back—her “proof” of damage included photos of completely unscuffed, undamaged walls. All year, we were forced to give tours through our home, often with little to no notice. Once, she banged on my door at 8 AM, let herself in with tour guests, and gave zero warning. Later, she put the house up for sale, which meant even more disruptions. She treats normal wear and tear—like a tiny mark on a wall—as an excuse to charge $1,000+ to repaint the entire house. I lived in the same apartment from August 2022 to July 2024. I have now finally received my security deposit back almost a year later. Property Stars took over my lease from a different management company half-way through. They were not present at the move-in walkthrough and, not knowing the condition of the apartment, attempted to keep the entire security deposit and request an additional $200. I submitted the 46 images I took at move-in of the apartment's condition and was then ghosted by Kelly for the next 8 months. Any communication with Kelly began after getting legal representation. She would then consistently state she would respond by the "end of the week/month/etc." and fail to do so. I wish if I could give Kelly and her so called management zero stars. Kelly is the rudest person and landlady I have ever seen. She would do everything with her power to take your money. If you are international student, please be very careful from this management. I suffered a lot during my staying and after I moved out. She didn't return back my rental deposit. Instead, she even gave me utilities bill for which she absolutely made false papers. Those person who gave this management good reviews, I am sure they are either her relatives or friends. Please, DO NOT take the lease from Kelly or from her management. They made me sick.
