The staff member who assisted me was absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. What truly stood out to me was the level of care she took in making sure the space would accommodate both me and my son. My son uses a wheelchair, and she was very intentional about showing me units with ramp access and explaining how accessibility would work for us. She even walked me through both accessible and non-accessible floor plans so I could fully understand the options and choose what would best meet our needs. That meant so much to me. Update: Drop from 4 to 1 stars I came home late one night from work and noticed two things. Someone entered the garage I'm renting along with an attempt to enter my unit. The garage could only be access by myself and staff. I read the garage agreement. There is nothing about unannounced entry. Now the attempted entry into my unit? I'm glad I took the precautions with stoppers (PVC/wooden pole 4-5 inch in diameter) for both the windows and sliding door because that prevented someone from entering my unit. So with that said, I'm going to tell you the security facts, there are no locks on the windows in the bedroom in ANY unit. I was considering applying for an apartment at Porchlight but my interactions with the front office have changed my mind. The same woman has answered the phone each time I’ve called with questions. She always sounds annoyed and has an attitude, but refuses to let me speak with anyone else. I called to schedule a tour and we confirmed a Saturday 10 am tour, which is when the office opens. I arrived 5 minutes early. The office staff did not arrive until sometime between 10:10 and 10:15 and didn’t even apologize for being late. The leasing agent who led my tour was the same woman I spoke to on the phone. She didn’t sit us down to look at floor plans or available units. I mentioned I was looking for a two bedroom apartment and that my move in date would be in early December. She didn’t check

The drawers next to my stove fell off the track. I informed the office and maintenance came right out that night and fixed my cabinets said to wait 24 hours for the glue to dry and then I could load it up. I loaded it up the next day and have not had a problem with it since everybody was nice and friendly and the service was quick and efficient

If I could give a lower review, I would. I cannot recommend Porchlight to anyone as I experienced multiple issues while living there. First of all, my apartment was infested with ants and would be difficult to manage every spring/summer as they came from within the walls of the building (HH building). Secondly, it took almost 2 months and multiple maintenance visits to resolve an issue with our dishwasher which ultimately just got replaced. Parking is terrible and residents are forced to park on the street where cars are broken in to frequently. When it came time for move out, I took pictures of my apartment after cleaning everything out and yet was charged over $500 for “carpet damage”. I called to dispute the charge, but the leasing manager (Deena, if that’s how it’s spelled) was uncoope
