During the pandemic I was fortunate to discover Property Management Inc. in Chicago while relocating from Minnesota. Initially, I explored online listings and photos, and then I met with Atul, who, despite my limited time, showed me three properties. I immediately fell in love with one in Rogers Park, which I have proudly called home for the past 5 years. The apartment is stunning and meticulously maintained. Throughout my time here, every issue I encountered was resolved within 48 hours. Atul was consistently available to address any questions or concerns promptly. Don't even consider working with these people. The first problem was that I went to a tour of an apartment with Atul and discovered that he had scheduled 3 other people to tour them at the same time. Just the same I foolishly filled out an application the same day. When I spoke to the person handling the credit application she said that they would probably not consider my application because I am retired and have no regular income. When I pointed out that I had enough assets to purchase the entire building in cash if I wanted to she said that it didn't matter. When I pointed out that this was blatant discrimination she said that she would take it up with the "actual person" who handles the credit checks. Listen to the low reviews and not the random 5 star reviews that were obviously encouraged by this company. Make sure you know your tenant rights and be prepared to follow up several times for a response on any issues you have as a renter. Avoid this company if you can, they do not care about the condition of their property or the safety of the tenants. I, like the other who have written reviews, don’t normally, but this was the worst renting experience I’ve had, so beware…

For the sake of full disclosure I have to let you know that the owner of the property management company did request me to write this review. He wanted me to write it fairly and honestly because he was being deluged by bad reviews. These reviews have been unfairly targeting him for being firm in his terms. That being said, everything in this review is accurate and true. While in college and after graduating, for a period of almost 5 years, I was living in a property managed by these guys. Since then I have moved to the West Coast. The owner was a computer programmer himself and he took me under his wing. I never post a review, but this service was SO BAD that I would even be thinking about suing. We were taken out of the the apartment for a few days for them to make renovations, moving from another country it was a shock. We took the the cheapest motel in Chicago and had to sleep with my roommate in the same bed, they did not even reimburse entirely the night. Never answers or takes ages, only when you talk about rent money. Little digging in their website, bunch of lies, they never got the rewards they say they have. If you pursue with them keep trace of all your phone calls, texts and mails, it would come in handy.
