Plus Property Management

Whether your are a tenant or owner, avoid plus property management. First of all, will not show the property unless you have an approved application. Pure laziness on the management companies part, bad for the tenants and the owners. Why make me fill out an application if I don't even know I want to rent the place out. Ok so I go to fill out an app, they want soooo much information, my SSN, my rental history and past landlords info, my current employers info, my mom's info. The license plate number on my car. And I get it, some of that you need, but I haven't looked at the property yet, I don't know if I want to live there. You should allow people to submit a paystub for tour, then fill out the application if the like it. So then after I fill out the application I call. No answer. I cal

I have not dealt with Plus personally, but I have lived across the street from a property that they manage for the Owners of a duplex. The tenants from one side of the duplex recently moved out for personal reasons, and once moved out they have had to completely gut that side because of it's condition. The other side is a similar story, but with more twists. The other side is rented to a disabled man that has caused nothing but problems for our entire neighborhood. He has been trespassed on multiple properties in the neighborhood, found with drugs and paraphernalia (cops could not do anything because of Oregon laws). I've always appreciated Plus Property Management, They are at their 20th anniversary and I have been lucky enough to have worked with them then and am fortunate enough to be able to be working with them now. They have always had good attitudes towards current tenants as well as future tenants. I have met with various staff throughout the years and their go-to mannerism never seem to fall short. They are very consistent and you always know what to expect from them; no matter what your personal situation may be. I will continue to utilize their knowledge and professionalism in finding rentals here in Central Oregon because it is considerably better than the rest.

The process of trying to get a rental from Plus Property was an interesting one, but overall very positive. Mike Hoff is a great guy who managed to get us a great place despite us having zero rental history without much hassle. Highly recommended. Full story below. Plus Property had some of the best properties for the most reasonable prices that we could find, but over the course of two weeks, every time we called we just got an answering machine that said "I'm away from my phone briefly." We were getting pretty frustrated. Eventually we called the Bend office and they managed to get us a call back from the Redmond office. Even after that there were some communication issues.
