Pittsfield Apartments

This place was kinda funky. It's in a deserted(?) hotel/apartment building, with the outside of the building under construction & covered in scaffolding, so it was a little hard to find. There are 15-20 Cafe tables set up in the entryway, very spacious, just a little unusual. The food was great though! I had a delicious Banana Bread French Toast, topped with nuts, powdered sugar & caramel. Really great. I didn't care for the drip coffee but the banana bread made up for it easily. My better half had a pastrami omelet, unique and yummy as well. The bathroom was in the basement and a little creepy with how deserted it was. Don't be put off by the atmosphere, the food is worth it.

I lived in Pittsfield Apartments for one year. I had the best experience here. It was my first apartment in Chicago. Rent was affordable given its prime location in the Loop and easy access to highways. Amenities were lacking, there were not any shared building amenities (such as gym, workspaces, etc), and my apartment did not have a dishwasher or a garbage disposal. With that said, the lack of amenities was the only negative aspect of this apartment building. The staff was friendly and kind. I always felt safe due to 24/7 security and front desk staff. The elevators were incredibly fast and always seemed readily available. The maintenance was unreal, they came to fix any problems the same day they arose. I absolutely loved living at Pittsfield Apartments and highly recommend it to anyone

We enjoyed living at Pittsfield Apartments for two years. The location was very clean, the people were super friendly, and Milos, the property manager, was very professional every time we needed something. We highly recommend these apartments if you’re looking for a great experience in downtown Chicago.

This place clearly beholds hostile management. After reading the 1 star reviews I can see my initial instinct of “wow that was rude and unprofessional,” was spot on. I was also concerned with how many available apartments this property has considering how perfect the location is. You’d think it would be full. So I called to find out… When I called, the “owner” told me I needed to prove my finances and do a credit check before I can even come view the property. I told him I would prefer to look at the property first and he said good luck, and hung up. I’ve never had to go through a credit check and show my finances until after I’ve decided if I want to even sign with a place. It’s a lot of work to do that, and a lot of sensitive information to throw out there before even stepping foot on a

Went in for some breakfast. The food was good and the building was something to see.
